Rustic Chic

Or should I say "Organic"? I recently started working on a new project and am on the hunt for pieces that are rustic with a chic edge, and also hopefully sustainable in fabrication. Below is an assortment of dining tables I've found.

I really LOVE this Railroad Tie table from VivaTerra. The reclaimed Railroad Tie top and minimal, waxed metal base create a clean, yet organic look.

Vivavi's Ellipse table is a little cumbersome for this particular project, but I love the starburst grain pattern created by mixing Black Walnut and Amboyna woods. The wood is also FSC certified and stained with a non-toxic finish. If only it were a bit smaller...

The Isometric Table from Branch Home is both Sustainable and Made in the USA! The light look of the table and Isometric legs give the traditional American farm table a face lift. This table is extremely versatile....think dining table, desk, kitchen table...

The X Base table from NYC's Hudson Furniture is the perfect mix of light and substantial looking. Hudson Furniture "respects the natural forms of trees and inherent grain of wood with well defined organic lines and geometric forms using traditional joinery techniques and hand rubbed oil finishes. All Hudson furniture is available in custom dimensions, custom finishes and a variety of wood species."

Stay posted as to how the project turns out!
